Albany Area Sales

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a sales position in the Albany Area. The job description includes:

  • Having electrical products approved and specified at local area engineering firms for specific commercial projects.
  • Tracking the stage of commercial construction projects through to the day of the bid.
  • Working with the successful electrical contractor after the bid to win the order.
  • Provide superior post-sale support and service.
  • The job also includes maintaining a strong relationship at the area electrical distributors and working with their sales members to win orders as a team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in selling and/or marketing electrical equipment products. He or she must be familiar with and understand the commercial and industrial electrical market in the Albany Area. The successful candidate will also have established relationships at area electrical distributors, electrical contractors and consultants who specify electrical products. Some knowledge or familiarity with Hubbell’s Delivery Systems family of products is required and/or knowledge or familiarity of a similar family of products. The successful candidate will also have basic computer skills including, understanding of Microsoft Office software products. A two or four year college degree is preferred, but not required. The candidate must reside in the Albany, NY area.

Data-Comm Product Sales

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a sales position in the Upstate New York Area. The job description includes:

  • Having data-comm and electrical products approved and specified at local area engineering firms for specific commercial projects.
  • Tracking the stage of commercial construction projects through to the day of the bid.
  • Working with the successful installer/contractor after the bid to win the order.
  • Provide superior post-sale support and service.
  • The job also includes maintaining a strong relationship at the area data-comm and electrical distributors and working with their sales members to win orders as a team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in selling and/or marketing data-comm and electrical equipment products. He or she must be familiar with and understand the commercial and industrial data-comm and electrical market in the Upstate New York Area. The successful candidate will also have established relationships at data-comm and electrical distributors, data-comm installers, electrical contractors and consultants who specify data-comm and electrical products. Some knowledge or familiarity with Hubbell’s Delivery Systems family of products is required and/or knowledge or familiarity of a similar family of products. In addition, knowledge of welded-wire cable tray systems, equipment enclosures, open relay racks, plug strips, power distribution units, single-phase UPS systems, connectivity products, and other passive data-comm related products is required. The successful candidate will also have basic computer skills including, a working understanding of Microsoft Office software products. A two or four year college degree is preferred, but not required. The candidate must reside in the Upstate New York area.

Critical Power Equipment Sales

The successful candidate will also have basic computer skills including, a working understanding of Microsoft Office software products. A two or four year college degree is preferred, but not required. The candidate must reside in the Upstate, New York area.

Inside Sales

  • Preparing quotations and providing technical support to customers.
  • Checking on status and expediting orders.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in providing inside sales support in the electrical equipment products market. He or she must be familiar with and understand the commercial and industrial electrical market in the Upstate New York Area. The successful candidate will also have strong business computer skills including, a working understanding of Microsoft Office software products, and possess strong organizational skills. A two or four year college degree is preferred, but not required. The candidate must reside in the Buffalo, New York area.
